Sunday Supper

There’s an organic roast chicken (with Mom’s wheat bread stuffing) finishing up in the oven, potatoes on for mashed potatoes with garlic, and probably the last of the fresh corn on the cob.

The aroma is fantastic and I can’t wait to sit down to eat shortly.  Jim’s playing his video game (WWII paratroopers) because we bought the car and I’m taking it in to the mechanic tomorrow so he is bored and already took out Zoe for quite a while.

I’ll keep on making dinner.  Hope you’re enjoying yours.  Dee

Texas is not known for its public transit systems.  So when husband Jim got a job nearly 20 miles away, rather than the 1/2 mile he’s been hoofing for four years, we started looking for a second vehicle.

Jim gets all the credit.  He pored over internet sales for weeks and arranged for mechanics as far away as Austin to check out cars.  Third one’s a charm.  It will still spend a couple of days this week at our mechanic getting a few essential things done.  Yesterday we made a nine-hour trip to pick up our “new” Acura MDX.

I’ll look stylish driving this one to the grocery store, drycleaners, and taking Zoe to the dog park.  I’ll have the rental a few more days, then everything will go back to normal.  I do like being higher up on the road (my old car was a Jeep).

Wave if you see us on the city, county or farm-to-market roads in the great state of Texas!  Dee
