Ike Refugees

These two were very lucky as a neighbor came upon them after their mother died during Hurricane Ike, probably protecting them.

I got to “sit” for them yesterday morning. They enjoyed hiding out behind the “Ike” water supplies and hanging and swinging from the bottom rung of a steel utility cart that I use for all pots and pans and TV and cooking mags in the kitchen.

Then they ate a bit and went to sleep. Zoe was not happy, stuck in her crate for three hours, but she was quiet and got a treat for her good behavior. I think the kitties are 5-6 weeks old and are still on formula, though I got my kitty years ago at five weeks and he already knew how to eat solid food because he fell off the 7′ shelf he was born on. What a cool cat that was, a talker.

These are up for adoption and will go quickly. Here are a few photos from yesterday. So cute! Dee

I’m Back!

Of course since Jim’s a software guy, he couldn’t just set me up on a straight WordPress account, he had to register me a domain name in case I want to relocate by blog.

The DNS server at the other domain (not WordPress) failed and a number of WordPress accounts went down until they sent along a fix to install.

It’s good to be back up and running. While it was out I had to read a lot of stuff and commit to benefit selections at Jim’s new job. Not fun, but I haven’t messed anything up yet! Still have two written forms to fill out after discussing with Jim and it should be done tomorrow. That and laundry and bills and sorting out a flower delivery and other stuff. I’d rather be blogging!

Thanks for asking where I was! Jim’s Nanny and cousins were upset they couldn’t read anything new! I received emails as well. Dee
