Kevin & Jim’s Egg Pan

Perfect eggs were cooked in this
Sunny-side, over easy
A gift to Kevin for the first
College place he leased

A decade later it was left to me
I kept it in our condo
Later it moved to Austin,
Then Houston and our home.

It’s seen it’s share of use
For over twenty years
This trusty T-Fal took abuse
So now is laced with fear

Of Teflon loss, toxicity
And misshapenness
A new T-Fal beckoned
It will make much less mess.

We will miss you, T-Fal
You served us for many years
As you go down this garbage chute
There won’t be any tears.
